Weather for two?? Nah hun, weather to slay! The temperatures have started to drop, ushering in the cooler months. I don't know about you, but for me, this means a shift in my wardrobe. From clothes that keep me cool to clothes that keep me warm.

Cold weather fits, do not have to be boring. Lest you fear that your style will be watered down as you try to keep warm, rest assured, there are a couple of simple ways to make sure that doesn't happen.

We've rounded up a couple of simple tips plus some outfits to help you out. Grab a hot cup of tea and get ready to upgrade your wardrobe.

It's all About Layering
Looking to look good and keep warm? Layering your pieces should be your first go-to option.

Layering is a fashion technique of wearing several garments together, on top of each other. Like wearing a puffer jacket with a hoodie inside. Or a denim jacket with a hoodie inside. It allows you to play with a mix of textures, patterns, and fabrics.
This may seem easy to achieve but in reality, it does take a bit of practice to get it right. You may end up looking like a hot mess on a cold rainy morning instead of a fashion icon.

Here are some pointers to help you out:
Pick the right inner layers. They should be fitting.
Take time to pick all the clothing items. The outer layers should be a bit oversized, to allow you to be able to fit clothes underneath.
Do a bit of Pinterest lookup to find some ideas.

Time for the Boots to Shine

A winter wardrobe isn't a winter wardrobe without a good pair of fun boots in it. Whether you prefer knee-high boots or simple ankle boots, the boot world is yours for the taking.

Have a good pair of ankle boots? Pair them with some leggings and a coat for that glamour. Have a good pair of knee-high boots? A dress and a coat will do the trick.

Coat It Up

Coats are probably going to be your best friend in this particular weather. Add a bit of interest with a belt to give your coat a whole new look and a somewhat hourglass silhouette

Scarf it

Or shawl or poncho it. Apart from keeping you warm, a scarf adds a fun edge to your look. You may choose to pick plain colors or experiment with different prints and designs.

You may also choose to add sunglasses to the mix.

The Pants too

All pants lovers can take a breather; they are part of the cold-weather wardrobe. But not just any pants, wide-legged pants made of material that is sure to keep you warm. We wouldn't want you to catch a cold now, would we?

Pair it with your favorite top a jacket and a poncho for an official look or with a sweatshirt and sneakers for that casual and warm look.
