Marion & Jeniffer Kisoso

You probably recognise Marion Kisoso from the hugely popular 'Wedding Show' that airs on Citizen TV every Sunday. She's also a Vivo babe; who's been gracing our shoots for the last couple of years. This time she had her mum, Jeniffer Kisoso, right by her side.

How would you describe each other?

Mum: Marion is a hard worker. I really admire that.

Marion: She is loving and kind; helping us with whatever it is we need.

What do you enjoy doing the most together?

Mum: To be honest, everything.

Marion: I really just love being around her. She is always there for me so whatever we do, I enjoy it as long as we're doing it together.

What was your first year of motherhood like for you?

Mum: It was very hard because I didn't know what to do. That responsibility for another human being was quite the challenge, but here we are. I'm proud of my work.

What's the best thing about being a mom?

Mum: I love that my children are always there for me. As a mum, that feels very good.

What's the best thing about being her daughter?

Knowing that no matter what there's someone out there I can fully depend on is very comforting.

A valuable lesson you've learnt from your mum growing up?

Prioritise working hard and including prayer in your life.

Something you would tell your younger self?

Mum: To relax, enjoy every moment and that everything is going to work out the way it's supposed to.

What's the most rebellious thing you did as a child?

Mum: We once ate the guests' food. We got into so much trouble obviously, but we really did enjoy that meal!

Marion: I once run away from home and didn't tell anyone. I was very young though.

A lesson your children have taught you?

Mum: To believe in myself. I have very confident children and they have really pushed me to embrace myself.
